Me: I'm a Writer, TEDx Speaker and Artist. .
I provide training and education on gender-based issues in society as well as creating art on these subjects.
In my career have supported, advocated and advised on various gender-based abuse issues. Such as as an IDVA, working with honour based violence, forced marriage, sexual violence and female genital mutilation. I have also co-facilitated group work with perpetrators of domestic abuse using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Lastly, I have advised victims of stalking within a stalking charity.
I am committed to asking more from humanity's potential. I want people to live in a more equal, supportive and encouraging society.
I have always been very creative and enjoy spending time focused in more creative and performing arts. This is why I have married up my passion to change society's relationship to gender with my art work.
My philosophy is to raise awareness around the society construct of gender and how it impacts our treatment and perception of gender.
We are impacted by our perceptions of gender in society, career, relationships, family and education. Parts of my specialist areas are where some of the most dangerous impacts can include domestic violence and rape culture.
So I offer training, interviews and public speaking and my art to educate and inspire change around these issues.
